What: Replace ACRE2 to TFAR for three weeks, after three weeks, re-convene and discuss which system we should use.

Why1: TFAR is easy to use, and incredibly easy to teach.

Why2: Although ACRE2 has pre-set frequencies that are really helpful, we've never had problems with TFAR. Everyone remembered 111, 111.1 (alpha), 111.2 (brav) etc, 74 for long range or whatever. You can just annotate the map in the mission file using Eden Editor to put frequencies.

Why3: You can set additional channels incredibly easy in TFAR, that way you can remove radio channel by having a fire team frequency and a squad frequency as an additional. FT leaders should be in both.

How: Change mods and uninstall ACRE, reinstall TFAR and trial it for 3 weeks. See if the functionality ACRE2 gives is actually missed.

Additional notes: There are advantages to ACRE2 and TFAR, however, most people want TFAR. I personally like ACRE2's static effects when you're far away.

TL;DR

TFAR PROS:
Easy to use, Ctrl-P hotkey.
Easy to teach, so far ACRE2 has proven a massive pain to teach.
Additional channels are easy to set up and put in ears, so you can hear squad net on one ear and fireteam comms in the other or both ears, easy to distinguish between the two.
Can change channels with NumPad
Doesn't take inventory space.
Most people who join who has been in a unit before have used TFAR and are familiar with it. If they aren't, they've seen it in videos.

ACRE2 PROS:
More Mil-Sim-y.
Static effects increase immersion, radio effects on ACRE2 on your VOIP is nice too, sounds really immersive.
AI can actually hear us.
Pre-set channels means no need to change channels, knocking off a few minutes of radio checks before starting the operation.
Easy to change channels and blocks.

TFAR NEGATIVES:
Have to set up radios before actually starting operations, can take up 3-5 minutes. People can forget to change radios, or their channels could be reset if loadout box is used.
Arsenal can eat radios, people can forget, people can forget to change channels.

ACRE 2 NEGATIVES:
Transmissions can turn to static at random when you're within range.
Additional channels are a pain to set up.
Sometimes people talking and then someone else starting will cancel out a transmission so you'll never hear it.
Most people who join have never used ACRE2 and need to be taught.
