Patrol Mission 09/20/18

A-3

Date:

Overall Classification:
UNCLASSIFIED

Summary -
822 Security Forces Squadron, Alpha Flight was tasked with the western patrol, after Charlie Flight's day patrol.

The flight decided to insert via M1113, taking the main road into the AO.

Contact was initiated by the hostile organization when Angel-1-1 was spotted monitoring the airstrip. This caused the two individuals to hastily withdraw, leaving behind some evidence that was secured. After which a technical began to engage Angel-1-1, causing it to wave off. Then, it engages the inbound convoy before small arms contact sustained the firefight. Scorpion Red was able to assault the position and minimize casualties, however an "QRF" jeep tries to hit a few people. Immediately getting dealt with 1x EPW secured, unfortunately never taken out the AO and supposedly escaped.

Next, Scorpion Red caught up with the individuals that escaped prior at a storage location, with two warehouses. There a firefight breaks out and it's confirmed they have AT capability, however none of the M1113 were damaged in the assault. From there the unit continues into the edge of town, and begin searching the factory district.

Following this period of time all was quiet, until they crossed into the residential area. Hostile contacts came over the hill, supported by 1x Technical, which was quickly dispatched. This would be the highlight for some time, excluding several civil errors or incidents that occurred. Fortunately the town inhabitants were still quite compliant, and offered information on suspicious individuals. Clearing through the town unfortunately didn't lead to any arrest of the primary target(s), however phone data from "Muguni" a supposed high official with the arms dealing organization, "Black Orca" was secured.

Finally, on the way out of town a suspicious individual was arrested for stockpiling small arms, even though he claims to be licensed and working with someone the unit as contacted prior. This was the build up to the final push on an abandoned base, which turned out to be secretly occupied and well hidden. Upon entering the unit took unsuspected fire, but the tables quickly turned. Leading to 3x EPW being secured before withdrawing  to base.

Overall, mission success with minimum casualties taken in the form of 0x KIA and 0x WIA.

Summary -
822 Security Forces Squadron, Alpha Flight was tasked with the western patrol, after Charlie Flight's day patrol.

The flight decided to insert via HMMWV, taking the path through Bolabongo to make contact with a trustworthy source in the town.

Following the intelligence gathering the unit immediately springs into action, after getting clearance to operate within the town of course. First, targeting a factory that individuals had come to collect a truck and leave.. Luckily they cut off a landrover attempting to flee as well, however the individual was taking out due to being hostile. Second, a house is marked for a raid, following a brief firefight with people coming out and those resisting inside the situation was handled properly.

Then, shots were fired from a house further down the street. Later to be known as two militia attempting an ambush after tying up the shop owners. One of the militiamen manage to get arrested, and tried leading the unit into a trap. Fortunately the men dealt with the hostiles, adding two more dead militia to the list.

Next, a unsanctioned roadblock holds up Alpha Flight until they call in for confirmation. After confirming it was either corrupt Gendarmerie or impostures, they are immediately taken down and a compound directly up the road was surged. Contact was made against a squad size element, but it was manageable and 2x EPW was airlifted away. There was also the destruction of 1x Technical.

Finally, earlier intelligence that suggested the borders being taken over at night was confirmed. This was through pure recon, and adding to future plans on dealing with the organization.

Overall, mission success with minimum casualties taken in the form of 0x KIA and 0x WIA.

Summary -
822 Security Forces Squadron, Alpha Flight was tasked with conducting a QRF for the western patrol, replacing Charlie Flight.

The flight decided to insert via helicopter for the first time instead of jogging on foot from base. There wasn't any initial contact, in-fact the ambushed convoy was able to be found long before contact took place.

An incident took place when retrieving the logistical supplies, nonetheless it was a learning experience for both ground and aviation forces on shuttling cargo. Afterwords the flight split up to search for possible suspects, were 1st Squad has a run in with a suicide bomber -- whom runs a fuel truck into a town square, then detonates a bomb vest. Following this the already reluctant to aid Gendarmerie express the unit leaving vividly, however upon pulling out a suspicious individual was spotted and a captured. Later to be labelled another terrorist, probably along side the prior square bomber.

After the judgement call of dealing with the terrorist, given Dualan reluctance to retrieve the individual, Alpha Flight continued searching the island, heading towards their exfiltration zone. Along the way they were given intelligence that drug smugglers were operating in the towns or buildings prior objectives were marked, assuming it was civilian occupied. The mission then became clearing out the smugglers and leaving the area, assuming the first contact were the hostiles that hit the convoy.

Overall, mission success with minimum casualties taken in the form of 0x KIA and 1x WIA.

Summary -
822 Security Forces Squadron, Alpha Flight was tasked with conducting a routine patrol on the recent northern patrol sector, C.

The flight decided to jog to "Sector C" and took no contact until preparing to breach the compound of "OBJ 69". 1st Squad made light work of the hostiles present, making sure to secure a vehicle dump, various narcotics and a squad's worth of men. Not without sustaining casualties, two soldiers had to medevac before regrouping for the next objective.

"OBJ 70" came next, and there seemed to be a hostage on a roof at the far end of town. An order was given to quickly secure the man for questioning later, and have the other fireteam overwatch the approach. Things go haywire rather quickly when the house is rushed and a grenade is thrown, killing 3x civilians. Nonetheless, "OBJ 70" is secured and Dualan Armed Forces approach to deal with the casualties.

"OBJ 76" was completely abandoned and things seemed well until the fireteam dispatched was pulling out. There multiple people were injured by IED explosions, causing the need for two soldiers to medevac.

"OBJ 75" was designated to the militia HQ the offensive operation took part on prior. 1x cache was still located there, and was detonated. Press and PMC were in the area, unfortunately hostile militia were still roaming the area and there were multiple casualties, especially with a miscommunication on who was operating in the area.

"OBJ 79" the final series of compounds was seemingly well intact, and remained a holdout for militia. A sustained firefight immediately took place upon approach and multiple were injured, but quickly dealt with due to the squad CLS. 5x cache(s) were found and detonated, however this caused two severe injuries due to initial and secondary explosions. Unfortunately the two soldiers didn't survive the exfiltration flight to base.

Overall, mission success with minimum casualties taken in the form of 4x KIA and 6x WIA.

The flanking friendly forces did most of the heavy lifting and took sustained casualties, while Alpha Flight moved in to secure hostages and conduct a clean up operation. 2x EPW were secured, however the U.S. pilot(s) weren't retrieved or even found. Fortunately the downed AH-64 was put out of commission, which is better then leaving it to the enemy.

It was clearly a difficult task for when Alpha Flight as assigned the operation parameters, hence the additional support from both 2 ABCT & 6th Armored Coy. However, due to the recent batch of recruits and active service operations will expand on future mission planning.

Establishing a forward position of COP Valley to repel hostile forces until friendly forces get into position on the north and south flank, all in preparation for the offensive operation to come.

The arrival with without incident, even through multiple firefights and even heavy armor the element remained composed. However, there arose a time an "Raid" was called on a prior compound that initiated combat on 1st Squad, leading to the element getting ambushed. Fortunately they were able to clear out the contact and withdraw.

For a time the contacts were light, then came a major push over "Hill 74". The hostiles came in number, but were dispatched due to superior defenses, precision and firepower.

The arrival went without incident although we had suspicions COP Valley may be attacked for retaliation. However, first contact was initiated by 1st Squad, in which they failed to take out the target and alerted the enemy of the unit's presence. Light armor was directed at the unit before the designated "Raid" could take place, and Dualan CAS had to be called in to control the situation.

Eventually the "Raid" took place and 1x cache was taken out, however due to detonation in close proximity it caused a casualty, someone who was never found. Following these events the unit proceeded to pass the link up location and clear Xibo. CAS was also called on the bridge location, where a garrison recon previously took note of was stationed.

Summary -
822 Security Forces Squadron, Alpha Flight was tasked with doing a recon patrol north of Molatia Airbase. Not to target a specific area, but an entire designated zone that encompasses OBJ Rags.

There was a brief stop before starting the actual patrol, which was securing the Mulari survivor and escorting him to IDAP officials. Sadly the individual had committed suicide, or at least there was a suicide note but hostiles were in the town making it questionable.

Afterwords, Alpha Flight continued with the mission and managed to secure alot of intelligence. Basicly letting high command know most of the intel we were deployed with was outdated, being as we now know the militia have heavy armor and anti-armor technicals, many of them at that.

Overall, there were no casualties taken in the form of KIA or WIA. However, the recon mission steered away from practical recon, an apache is now in enemy hands, and one aviator possibly two are MIA, taken by militia and hopefully still alive.

Summary -
Freshly deployed to the region with less than accurate intelligence, the 822 Security Forces Squadron was tasked with gathering information on the nearby contingent of militia, along with deliver supply IDAP requested prior to arrival.

A squad deployed north of the Airbase in-order to secure the surrounding villages ahead of supply arrivals. Multiple reports of gunfire have been called in, along with the radio silence from COP Valley, leaving the squad on high alert. No contact was initially taken aside from an angry civilian, whom was shot dead and found out to be an illegal broker of sorts. The push towards Casinda turned into a firefight where hostages were able to be secured, and prompted the withdrawal to finishing the operation. However, on the return route there was an ambush that disabled 1x MRAP.

Overall, there was no casualties taken in the form of KIA or WIA. The 822 Security Forces Squadron have started the deployment strong, and have already left an impression on the surrounding villages.

Summary -
Due to a loss of communication with the USS Liberty that had recently departed the waters around Wake Island, the 822nd Security Forces Squadron present was tasked with investigating the radio silence due to being the closest friendly unit.

A squad of volunteers boarded the ship and encountered terrorists from Al-Sahaba who had taken control of the main areas of the ship and taken about a half-dozen marines and sailors captive. Thankfully the rest of the ship had locked down and thus Security Forces was able to operate as they would in an active shooter situation clearing the regions unlocked and securing the hostages while eliminating the threat.

Overall, it is believed the Al-Sahaba members had boarded while posing as U.S. Marines when the ship was harbored.

BDG ---> SFG, Forum Organization Revamp, & Website Activity

Written by
MSgt C. Klimik
Along with changing the names on everything from the recruitment post to the clanlist.io page to 820SFG, The forum organization has been redone by me. We really want to start using the website more to promote activity and organization so its time we start getting proper threads started regarding trainings, LOA's for people etc. and its important that you know how to navigate the website! All changes I have made as A-1 to the website are listed below :
- Consolidated transfers/discharges under the A-1 staff forum section.
- Moved Unit Suggestions thread to A-1
- Added an archive area for closed transfer/discharge requests.
- The approved/denied sections for enlistment applications are back up again, however we cant recover the old enlistment forms.
- Leave of Absence forms have been moved under the 822 SFS category since everyone is assigned to this squadron currently and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
- Added an archive area for closed leave of absence requests.
- Roll calls have been added under the 822 SFS category for Alpha flight. If you are an active member of the unit assigned to a fireteam you must fill out this roll call to confirm your attendance to events beforehand. THIS IS IMPORTANT, SO LOOK AT IT HERE. All you need to do is answer the quoted questions every week regarding if you are attending or not.
- The courses category has been totally revamped. All courses that we can reasonably put people through at this time have been added as subsections under the training and advanced courses section HERE. I'm going to get around to asking who would instruct these courses and then post signup threads for people who wish to attend a  training they need such as BMT / BDA. These threads will contain the instructor and their information - as well as a basic course summary, time, and date of the event.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and please try to spread it around the unit so we can get more website activity because for the love of god - we need it.

[PSA] Patrol Cancelled, new Operation Orders

So earlier today my computer went down due to a harddrive going out, as such I was not able to make the patrol time today. Currently I am on a laptop with an absolutely horrid internet connection, so bad I can't connect to TS3 without it timing out. SSgt Lewis was not able to attend today due to prior obligations and we were not able to get any well-experienced junior enlisted willing to lead a patrol.

As such, I cancelled the patrol today. I'd like to extend my most humble apologies to each of you for the said cancellation.

That being said, we should be having a minor mission tomorrow and we are publishing new Weekly Operation Orders set up by SSgt Lewis and myself.

For all events listed try to show up around 6:30 PM CST.

Monday: After Action Review

The rappelling system from Helicopters often resulted in fatalities as people would randomly fall off and die. We'll just use the ACE FRIES system from now on as it's more realistic anyways.

Added
- BDF Parachutes
- VCom AI

Changes to 820th Mod
- Added new Pavehawks
- Added ACE Ragdoll

Known enemies at Starry Sobor, IEDs along route, VIP was to arrive at funeral and give an eulogy on behalf of NATO forces.

9. Execution:
Convoy departed behind schedule, encountered no major difficulties in arriving at Novy Sobor, the Fireteams were immediately dispersed across sectors covering 360 degrees. Alpha guarded the South, Bravo guarded North West, and Charlie guarded North East.

Enemy contact started lightly from the South meaning Alpha took the blunt of the attack. After attacks continued coming from the South and enemy indirect fire began, SL ordered Charlie to reinforce Alpha and Bravo to guard the church courtyard to protect the VIP. Bravo failed to move to guard the courtyard and remained on the North West side of town.

After being told that the standing orders continued to remain, SL moved to the south end to reinforce the barricade while RTO radioed air support. Enemy MANPADs however forced air support to wave off resulting in more attacks from the South.

SL and RTO both became KIA at the same approximate time soon afterwards causing comms to break down and leading to Alpha break off of it's position, acting FTL AB Klimik called in broken arrow and retreated in MRAP. VIP is MIA as of present.

1. Name and Identification and/or Type of Operation: Raid on Weapons Dealer compound in Zelenogorsk.

2. Time and Date: 20:30 - 24:00 (CST), 30 July 2018

  • Fireteam B, Squad 1, A/822 BDS

6. Unit Commanders Engaged in Operations:

  • 822nd Base Defense Sq/A Flight; TSgt T. Hayes

7. Security Forces Status: There were 12 Security Specialists deployed to the attack. 1 Security Specialist was KIA.

8. Intelligence:
Intelligence gathered from the embassy three days prior found that the local nationalists were getting weapons from an arms dealer in Zelenogorsk.

Hostile PMC forces were reported by Cherno National Guardsmen and the town had been cleared of all friendly civilian presence the week prior.

9. Execution:
Assault commenced with FT Alpha taking shots from their north and trying to support FT Bravo. Bravo came under attack from an enemy ambush in which the SL was KIA. After heavy fighting both fireteams breached the compound and successfully cleared it with no further casualties. TSgt Hayes arrived from Walker AFB as the compound was being cleared with AB Bychkov in an up-armored Humvee.

Intel found in the compound indicated that an arms deal was going on to the north west at Myshkino where a technical had been trailed by UAV sensors to the approximate grid. At the same time however, a friendly squad came under attack to the north east from nationalist forces. We were forced to take the initiative on the arms dealer rather than aid friendly forces in the area.

Assaulting Myshkino from Hill 341, the Squad took heavy contact and moved down hill into the town due to the dense vegetation preventing proper overwatch from the hill. As such, the squad came under heavy fire but successfully extracted the HVT while only suffering injuries. On the road between Vybor and Putoshka, V-2, a MaxxPro MRAP, rolled on a turn and flipped over off of a bridge into a river. Despite this, no airmen sustained critical injuries and no casualties were taken.

10. Results:
U.S. and NATO Forces:

  • KIA: 1x
  • WIA: 11x
  • MIA: None
  • Aircraft Destroyed: None

[822 | PSA] Reconstitution Phase

Having secured the immediate BSZ around Walker AFB, the 822 BDS has been ordered to withdraw and reconstitute in order to prepare for reassignment and to celebrate July 4th in CONUS.

Headquarters and Admin will be working at the Wake Island Airfield and the rest of the 822 BDS will be moved back to Wake Island on July 6th for the remainder of reconstitution and then pre-deployment preparations. Be advised, all forces will be expected to attend Airborne and Air Assault qualifications by the end of the pre-deployment.

Reconstitution and pre-deployment are expected to be over by or before the end of the month depending on our ability to get training done. Note we will continue doing mini-ops and other minor missions throughout the course of this time.

8. Intelligence:
During the week prior to the assault, intelligence reports showed the garrison at Petrovka moving off significant forces to reinforce their defense of Novy Sobor.

The armament of enemy units in Petrovka, reported by intelligence, included anti-air cannons which due to their proximity to Walker AFB posed a significant threat.

9. Execution:
There were 16 Security Specialists deployed when the attack began. During the assault they deployed to the ground, only using two Pavehawks to deploy about a kilometer east of the town by flying through the valley corridor northeast of Walker AFB. They then dismounted and moved onto the town and engaged the enemy with the aid of CAS.

The socialist insurgent anti-air battery was swiftly put out of action, however, a broken down BMP was used by insurgent forces as a turret and used to pin down Security Specialists until CAS destroyed it.

In spite of heavy enemy resistance including two counter-attacks, three attempts to strafe the assault with helicopter gunships, and the loss of 2 F-16s, only 2 Security Specialists died in the assault and the rest were able to extract safely once CDF armor arrived to reinforce the position.

10. Results:

Mission
Acting as a QRF, a squad was sent to Gvozdno via a UH-1N Huey, however, said Huey took small arms fire approaching the LZ. One of the bullets struck the fuel line and caused a rapid loss of fuel causing the pilot and copilot to begin looking for a landing site. However, while attempting a deadstick landing, the helicopter hit the edge of a forest line and all hands died on impact.

Another squad was sent from the airfield via MRAP to Gvozdno and circled around the south, moving through the C.D.F. garrison's company HQ before entering Gvozdno proper and engaging the enemy. After successfully clearing the town, the squad got bogged down in heavy combat on the northern end and despite air support was nearly overran twice. All attacks were rappelled and the squad was reinforced by C.D.F. armor before extracting with the town cleared of nearly a company of socialist forces.

[822 | OGR] War Update, June 22

News for the Front

The early part of the US deployment has seen a fair share of tactical victories during its initial phase of deployment.

So far, the front line in South Zagoria has seen a little shift, but not enough to instill hope in the US deployment.

USEUCOM - Chernarus
[REMINDER] The Socialist faction controls Utes, and thus, considerable air power. The Nationalists have access to MBTs. Anarchists are unpredictable.

There has been a buildup of Russian forces on the border between Chernarus and Russia. The Russians cite their reasoning to be increased crime level due to high levels of crossings.

RMC forces led by Pyotr Bakunin have managed to take the city of Miroslavl'. Members of the National Guard's 3rd Division retreat towards friendlier territory in South Zagoria.

The RCS Pokornyy has been boarded by Socialist forces. They have been repelled but it has left the vessel unable to continue its mission. It is leaving for repairs at Novigrad. (Pokornyy pulling back)

With the help of US troops, the position at Gvozdno has managed to stay within Coalition hands. But most of the garrison has been lost. Grishino has been weakened to maintain the garrison.
The effective assault force at Pobeda Dam has been exhausted.

The 1st Guards Armor Regiment have managed to secure reliable and effective supply. (Morale - Increased, Supply Stabilized - 1st Guards)

The soldiers besieged in Chernogorsk have been shelled for days on end after the siege camp has gotten its artillery resupplied. (Defense is now desperate)

Mission
We moved to clear out Devil's Castle and to find out what had become of the IDAP refugees that had been living there, landing east of it via two Pavehawks and coming under immediate small arms fire from anarchist forces. Our teams successfully made their way to the castle taking no casualties and proceeded to assault the castle, again with no casualties.

During the assault, mass graves of the refugees were found and the only known surviving civilian was shot, mistaken for an enemy.

However after the assault was completed, we came under attack from enemy aircraft and motor vehicles that over ran some of our positions. At the end of the day we extracted, two Airmen died enroute to the airfield and three died at the castle proper.

It was concluded, communications were good throughout the operation until the end wherein we broke down due to the amount of casualties inflicted in so little time by the literal dive bombing runs being made against us and separation of command.

Admin
It should be noted Airmen Bean and Merc were promoted to Airman First Class (A1C). Airmen First Class Francis and Vaught were promoted to Senior Airman (SrA). And finally, Airmen Basic Drew and Caple were promoted to Airman (Amn).

Also please do note we officially have a Suggestions and Complaints thread on the forums... http://www.820th.org/category/complaints--suggestions-500073

Should any further topics be brought up in the middle of a debriefing it will not be tolerated. Today's debriefing was unacceptable, furthermore the conduct after the debriefing was degrading of the unit and any one found purposefully carrying out a negligent discharge within a friendly installation from here on out will be reprimanded severely, possibly even removed from the unit.

Mission
After a report of an army surveillance Blackhawk going down near the Green Mountain weather tower in nationalist territory, the 820th dispatched a squad of Security Forces in an HH-60 Pavehawk to land near the mountain and approach to the facility to find the pilots and recover data from the Blackhawk before scrapping it.

After a successful initial approach and breach of the perimeter fence with C2 plastic explosive, the operation turned south as another wall was brought down by enemy fire, exposing the squad to fire from two angles and destroying most of it. Sergeant Hayes attempted to rally up part of the squad and push forward into the building enemies were occupying, clearing out enough of the insurgents to allow Airman Fulgrim to continue medicating the wounded but being injured in the process.

With most of the squad down, reinforcements arrived via Pavehawk and rallied up at the Blackhawk site where they gathered intel and planted explosives. Sergeant Hayes was medicated by Airman Kitty and Airman Caple until he was able to find the two hostages and move them to a UAZ, exfiltrating towards the Blackhawk site, causing confusion wherein the squad there believed an enemy UAZ was the friendly UAZ.

Enemy UAZs with machine guns made it hard for further helicopter runs, however, two more successful runs were made by Pavehawk flown by Cadet Flynn, the first one securing the pilots and a second one securing the airmen. Drone support provided by Airman Merc did successfully aid in eliminating some of this AA fire and lightened it up enough to allow for these continued operations.

  • A1C S. Vaught
  • Amn E. Chu
  • Amn A. Melon

Training
For our training, we went over security forces tech school material from Phase 1 and Phase 2 including Rate of Fire, Engagement Techniques, Sectors and Fields of Fire, the Automatic Rifle, and Every Specialist is a Sensor (ES2).

We also ran over air assault and fast roping with the help of aviation provided by Airmen Chu and Melon.

Mission
Following that we did a minor mission wherein an IDAP Convoy was ambushed about half a click north of Myshkino, after deploying via UH-1N in a clearing north of the convoy's location, we moved through light forest, finding Nationalist forces at the convoy.

After at first believing the Nationalists were a hostile threat, we quickly created a perimeter around it and prepared to engage before national guard showed up and informed us they were defending the convoy and the attack had been caused by socialists in Myshkino leading us to head there.

At this time aviation intercepted an enemy MI-8 and a Sukhoi running barrier combat air patrol (BARCAP) and proceeded to take them down.

We moved into the town and began clearing houses, immediately coming under fire from two insurgents who we eliminated in the street before continuing, after our team entered one house we were assaulted by an up-armored SUV with a machine gun turret that tore apart the windows in the house, injuring a few Airmen.

After eliminating the SUV, we continued our search and cleared the north half of the town before our team was ambushed in one house, four team members were down and if not for the quick work of Airman Panda, they would've died, Airman Panda gave first aid and saved two while Sergeant Hayes cleared the rest of the house.

Sergeant Hayes found an insurgent commander surrendering and proceeded to take him into the custody. After clearing the remainder of the houses and taking another enemy prisoner of war (EPW), the team came across a mass grave of civilians, explaining why the town was empty. It turned out the SUVs and about half of the insurgents were American PMC contractors, however, none were able to be captured alive.

We came under assault from a squad-size force of insurgents as we were packing up, however, we dispatched them, taking only two casualties with a serious injury.

We then mounted up into one of the SUVs, commandeering it to take back north to the LZ where we loaded up into a Pavehawk with our EPWs and headed back to the NW Airfield.

Mission
We moved north west of the NW Airfield via UH-1N to an open farmland where we disembarked and spread out before moving into the forests due west wherein lied a hamlet with suspected insurgent sympathies. As we approached said hamlet we caught sight of a BTR and multiple insurgents, during which I commanded Bravo Team led by Airman Fulgrim to break off around right while Alpha Team commanded by Airman Vaught to hold and prepare to lay down a base of fire.

Bravo Team engaged the enemy however Squad 1 was out maneuvered leading to heavy casualties.

After regrouping for a second attack with reinforcements from the airfield, we moved in once more and commence a similiar attack but from further north and more directly into the hamlet allowing us to take out the enemy force.

We then continued pressing with the aid of Chernarussian National Guard units arriving to reinforce the position. As we cleared north, we commandeered the BTR and a UAZ to take back to the NW Airfield where we debriefed.

Mission
The mission consisted of setting up at Check Point 1 (CP1), just half a click north of Lopatino, where we monitored traffic activities for about two hours. Our first stop was a car with a non-compliant driver who, when forced to stop and consent to search, we found had a car filled with drugs and cash. Unfortunately, we were not able to apprehend the threat.

The second stop was routine, a man in a camo pickup truck driving to get groceries from a local farmhouse down the road. We allowed him to proceed after a search found nothing. Following this, we took stray shots from the forest to our south-east- injuring Sergeant Lewis who was on watch. We returned fire, eliminating the threat who turned out to be a lone anarchist before confiscating his rifle as evidence.

However, soon after this, an IDAP car attempted to run the check point gate only to crash- the driver attempted to get out with a loaded AKM only to get gunned down by Security Specialists. After the car was searched, revealing ten more AKMs, we called it and then came under assault from the north-west hills, fighting off roughly a platoon of insurgent light infantry. This assault was decimated by machine gun fire from Team Bravo and Airman Bean.

A while after the fighting had ended, the same pickup truck with groceries before returned, indeed having nothing but groceries when searched. He was allowed to pass once more back to his home. Following this, we were informed by command that since the perimeter was under attack, no further traffic should be allowed to pass.

Another firefight would begin with insurgent forces during which we turned away a vehicle. This time they brought an APC which was taken out by the A-10C piloted by Airman Chu and a main battle tank taken out by the same A-10.

After this last firefight, we mistakenly allowed a red pickup truck to pass through despite prior orders to not allow any traffic.
